It got there just before I arrived at the hotel, and the board was probably still wet from my morning surf session when it was picked up at the end of my stay. It worked great for me alone, and I even caught some waves with my 5 year old twins (one at a time) on the nose. This is my 2nd time using Hawaii Surfboard Rentals and I was very stoked on the 8'6'' mini-long board that Dan selected for me! I took it to Diamond Head twice when there was an overhead southeast swell running and the board was able to make some steep drops and also easy to turn. Perfect for my 197 lb weight. Now - here's my unique part - if you have a little surf experience under your belt, you're thinking of staying in Waikiki and renting a board - don't let the rumors of a ugly locals scene in the water deter you. I was on a popular break with a mix of short and long boards. Most of the crew of 20 to 25 in the line-up knew each other to varying degrees. The surf was good and getting better. Would I get ripped off? Would I get stuck with no board and have to hire some junk?). I have usually brought my own from Australia in the past. The board was a very new Takayama 9’6”. I will be telling all my buddies here in Australia not to bother lugging longboards half way around the world in future. It really makes the traveling much easier and is very wife friendly to boot.

Our “simple” vacation turned into a surfing vacation that
will be cherished forever. Your service – from board selection
to board delivery and pick-up was simply outstanding my
friend. The fact that the boards were new and not beat-up
old slabs was simply wonderful as well. You even brought
the wax! Hawaii Surfboard Rentals is simply the best and
most economical, easy to use, service on the Island. See
you next year! I was happy to find a surfboard rental company on Oahu
who rented good boards at good rates. What I paid for
an entire week of rental would have only covered a few
hours from one of the "on-the-beach" rentals.
The delivery to and pick-up from my hotel was great because
I didn't have to waste any time looking for a board while
on vacation. I am recommending your services to anyone
who is planning to travel to surf on Oahu, but doesn't

so I've got you added to my favorites. Luckily using the Internet technology I quickly found an outfit called Hawaii Surfboard Rentals and I called them up. They not only dropped off the board at the hotel but also will be picking up the board on the day of departure at 6:00 AM. Perfect! I can do a DP before taking off back for SFO for the noon flight! So I got 9'2 NSP board. Now I can go surfing in anytime I want and as often as I want! This is very great. - The WavLog by Manabu The
